UBC Network Protections to Block High-Risk Websites

UBC’s network security protections for university-based networks (wired connections and ubcsecure wireless) help prevent unintentional visits to known high-risk websites. These measures are in place to enhance cybersecurity across campus by automatically blocking access to dangerous sites.

If you are on a UBC network and accidentally click on a link to a high-risk website—such as one in a phishing email—your browser will redirect you to a block page.

Please note: This process is automatic, and the university is not acting as a censor.
