Throughout the year, we host "Inspiring Ideas" events to help expand awareness of privacy and information security issues at UBC and in the community at large. Through conversations, knowledge sharing, and storytelling we hope to provide a venue to share inspiring ideas to improve privacy and information security, both at home and at UBC.

Workspace 2.0 Upgrade Information Session

UBC IT will be be providing an overview of the new features implemented in the latest version of Workspace. Learn more about the on-campus cloud based file sharing service that offers an easy and secure way for staff and faculty to share files, both internally and externally with colleagues, partners and clients. Video conference connection will be available for this session.

For UBCO and VGH faculty and staff, the following rooms have been booked for the August 22, 2017 information session: UBCO: RHS 260 LT and VGH: DHCC - 1020 LT.

Information Sessions

Representatives from the Privacy and Information Security Team are available to drop by your department or faculty to answer any of your security-based questions.

These informal, 90 minute sessions were created to allow for a chance for staff and faculty to have a direct line into privacy and information security experts at UBC. Drop in, have a snack and learn more about protecting sensitive information online.
