Cybersecurity Awareness Month & Privacy Matters @ UBC Symposium 2025
Each October, people around the world take part in Cybersecurity Awareness Month—a global campaign to promote online safety, educate individuals and organizations, and empower everyone to protect their digital lives. At UBC, this campaign comes to life through a series of informative online events, practical resources, and one highly anticipated in-person gathering: the Privacy Matters @ UBC Symposium.
On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, this in-person event brings together the UBC community to explore critical issues in privacy and information security through information sessions, workshops, panels, and networking.
We're now seeking presentation proposals from individuals across the UBC community and beyond!
What We’re Looking For
We're seeking a wide range of presenters and presentation formats. You might be surprised—you don’t need to be a cybersecurity pro to have something valuable to share.
