Discover How UBC is Automating Cybersecurity — and How You Can Too

Join the UBC Cybersecurity team for an interactive workshop exploring how automation can improve your team’s efficiency, visibility, and compliance — all through real-world tools we use right here at UBC.

June 19, 2025 | 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM

The session features EDgaR, our award-winning automation utility built using Tines and CrowdStrike Falcon, designed to identify unmanaged devices on our network and streamline endpoint detection and response (EDR) compliance. This innovative solution recently earned first place in the international “You Did What With Tines” competition — and for good reason: it saves time, strengthens our cybersecurity posture, and is adaptable for other teams across campus.

In this session, you will:

  • See how UBC automated asset discovery and reporting using real-time API calls and AI-powered transformation in Tines
  • Learn how we made EDR tagging easier through intuitive, analyst-friendly webforms
  • Explore new Tines features, including conditional pages and AI parsing tools
  • Ask questions and share ideas on how your team could build similar automations

Whether you're in IT support, information security, or just curious about saving time on repetitive tasks, this is your chance to see automation in action, discover what's possible, and connect with others doing the same.
