UBC’s Information Security Standards (ISS) are updated annually to protect data and university operations from evolving cyber threats. Whether you work with data, manage IT systems, or simply use email in your day-to-day work, these standards affect all of us.
To support awareness, understanding, and compliance, we are hosting two virtual information sessions highlighting recent key changes to the ISS, with a focus on the development of a Shared Responsibility Model (SRM). The SRM provides a clear framework for defining which teams or individuals are responsible for specific technical tasks required to operate, manage, and secure UBC's data. This model helps clarify accountability and ensure a consistent approach across the institution.
Join us for an information session to learn about the benefits and uses of a Shared Responsibility Model and when to use it.
